As per official Notification No. RCIL/2024/P&A/27/1 dated 28 July 2026: 32 Graduate Engineer Apprentices (4-year full-time regular B.E./B.Tech) and 8 Diploma Engineer Apprentices (3-year full-time regular Diploma, AICTE-approved) with minimum 60% aggregate, in Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Science/IT, Electrical or Electronics engineering (or combinations where Electronics is a main branch). Qualification must be within the last 3 years; candidates with 1 year or more training/job experience after qualifying, those who already completed or left an apprenticeship, and distance/part-time qualification holders are NOT eligible. Age: 18-27 years as on 28 July 2026 (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules). Training period 1 year at RailTel locations across India (locations tentative). Monthly stipend: Rs.14,000 for Graduate and Rs.12,000 for Diploma apprentices (RailTel + Government DBT share). Selection by merit list on qualification marks (preference to Government Institution pass-outs) and/or interview; apprenticeship does not create any right to a RailTel job.
