RRB Group D — सिलेबस और परीक्षा पैटर्न

Selection process: Single-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) → Physical Efficiency Test (PET, qualifying only) → Document Verification (DV) → Medical Examination (ME). CBT (objective MCQ): 100 questions / 100 marks, duration 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates eligible for a scribe). Section-wise split per the official CEN: - General Science — 25 questions / 25 marks - Mathematics — 25 questions / 25 marks - General Intelligence & Reasoning — 30 questions / 30 marks - General Awareness & Current Affairs — 20 questions / 20 marks Marking: +1 for each correct answer; negative marking of 1/3 (0.33) mark deducted for each wrong answer; no deduction for unattempted questions. Minimum qualifying marks in CBT: UR & EWS 40%; OBC (non-creamy-layer), SC and ST 30% (relaxable up to 2% in some cases for shortage of PwBD candidates). CBT scores are normalised across shifts; shortlisting for PET is on normalised CBT marks. PET (qualifying only, not counted in merit) — one chance each, standards confirmed against CEN 09/2025: - Male: lift and carry 35 kg for 100 m in 2 minutes without putting the load down, AND run 1000 m in 4 minutes 15 seconds. - Female: lift and carry 20 kg for 100 m in 2 minutes without putting the load down, AND run 1000 m in 5 minutes 40 seconds. - Transgender candidates: relaxed PET standards equivalent to female standards. CBT is offered in 15 languages including Hindi and English.
