How to Apply

  1. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the SSC website (ssc.gov.in). An OTR already generated on the old website (ssc.nic.in) is not valid on the new site.
  2. Log in and fill the online application form for the JE Examination 2026, either via the SSC website or the "mySSC" mobile app.
  3. Upload photograph and signature , or opt for Aadhaar-based authentication, which exempts candidates from certain photo/signature format rejections.
  4. Select your organization, post, and relevant subject/stream as per your educational qualification - this choice cannot be changed later.
  5. Pay the application fee online (if applicable) using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or a Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/RuPay debit card.
  6. Preview and submit the form, and save/print a copy for your records.

What is the salary?

Government pay adds DA (dearness allowance), HRA and travel allowance on top of the basic pay shown above, so the amount that actually reaches your bank account (in-hand) is higher than the basic figure — the exact DA/HRA rates depend on your posting location and are revised periodically.

How the selection works

Selection happens in these stages: (1) Computer Based Test (CBT); (2) Document Verification; (3) Physical Standard Test (PST). The syllabus for each stage is in the official notification — prepare accordingly.

Keep these documents ready before applying

  • Scanned copy of your signature
  • A photo ID — Aadhaar is the easiest
  • Passport-size photo (JPG, usually 20–50 KB)
  • Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), latest format, for reservation
  • A valid email ID and your own mobile number (for OTP)
  • Qualification certificates and mark sheets

Worth keeping in mind

Apply a few days before the last date; the site gets crowded near the deadline. After submitting, download the confirmation and note your registration number — you'll need it for the admit card and result.
