Agniveer is recruitment into India's three armed forces — Army, Navy and Air Force — under the four-year Agnipath Scheme. Each service runs its own separate online written test, category and syllabus, so your first job is to identify exactly which service and category you are applying for. After the written test, every candidate must also clear a Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test and Medical Examination, so fitness preparation matters just as much as subject study.

Exam Pattern

Agniveer is recruitment into the three armed forces — the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force — under the Agnipath Scheme, for a four-year period of service. Each service recruits SEPARATELY, with its own notification, online examination and physical/medical standards, so there is no single common exam. The broad flow for every service is: online written test → Physical Fitness / Efficiency Test → Physical Measurement Test → Medical Examination → merit list.

INDIAN ARMY (Agniveer): recruited in categories such as Agniveer General Duty (GD), Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical, and Agniveer Tradesman (10th & 8th pass). The process begins with an online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) of 100 marks (with negative marking); the subjects and their weightage — General Knowledge, General Science, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and additionally Physics/Chemistry/Maths for the Technical category — depend on the category applied for. Candidates who clear the CEE are called for the Physical Fitness Test (1.6 km run, pull-ups, etc.), Physical Measurement Test and Medical. Official portal: joinindianarmy.nic.in.

INDIAN NAVY (Agniveer SSR & MR): SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit) needs 10+2 with Physics & Maths (and one of Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science); MR (Matric Recruit) needs Class 10. Selection is an online written examination followed by a Physical Fitness Test and medical. Official portal: agniveernavy.cdac.in / joinindiannavy.gov.in.

INDIAN AIR FORCE (Agniveer Vayu): needs 10+2 (Science or other streams as specified) or a relevant diploma. Selection is an online test (English, Physics & Mathematics for the science stream; Reasoning & General Awareness plus English for other streams), followed by a Physical Fitness Test, adaptability tests and medical.
