Exam Pattern

Single Computer-Based Examination (Paper-I), online, conducted in TWO mandatory sessions on the same day (both sessions must be attempted or the candidate is disqualified). Each question carries 3 marks. Grand total: 90 questions, 270 marks. SESSION I — 45 minutes, NO negative marking: - Numerical & Mathematical Ability: 20 questions, 60 marks - Reasoning Ability & Problem-Solving: 20 questions, 60 marks - Session I total: 40 questions, 120 marks SESSION II — 45 minutes, negative marking of 1 mark per wrong answer: - General Awareness: 25 questions, 75 marks - English Language & Comprehension: 25 questions, 75 marks - Session II total: 50 questions, 150 marks No descriptive paper. Questions set in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages (for Session I and the GA section of Session II). HAVALDAR POST ONLY — qualifying PET/PST after CBT (not counted for merit): - PET walking: Male 1600 m (1.6 km) in 15 minutes; Female 1 km in 20 minutes - PST: Male height 157.5 cm, chest 76 cm (unexpanded); Female height 152 cm, weight 48 kg. Relaxations (height +5 cm male / +2.5 cm female; weight +2 kg) for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and Scheduled Tribes. - MTS post has NO PET/PST.
