Application Fee

General / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)₹1,000
SC / ST / EWS / PwBD / Women of any category₹500

The advertisement prints one online application fee and nothing else — Section III heads it "ONLINE APPLICATION FEES (NON-REFUNDABLE)" and lists two amounts, ₹1,000 for General and non-creamy-layer OBC candidates and ₹500 for SC, ST, EWS and PwBD candidates and for women. There is no separate portal charge, no departmental charge and no GST line anywhere in the notice, so no candidate pays more than the single amount in the row for their category. The concession for women is by category of candidate and not by post: a woman pays ₹500 whichever of the four posts she applies for. The fee is non-refundable, and Section II fixes the same deadline for it as for the form itself — its second row reads "Last date for submission of Online Application Form along with fees submission — 19.10.2026 (23:59:59 hrs)". Clause 27 says an incomplete application, and an application without the applicable fee, is summarily rejected, as is any application received after the last date. One group pays nothing at all: the # note under the vacancy table says candidates who had already applied for the post of Assistant Librarian against the earlier Advertisement No. BBAU/NT/01/2025 dated 14 November 2025 need not apply again, and may update that earlier application form without paying any application fee. Clause 20(a) adds that the university follows the Government of India's norms on concessions in fees, among other things, as amended from time to time; the notice states no fee concession beyond the two rows above. The advertisement does not name the payment methods it accepts.

Essential: a Master's degree with at least 55 per cent of the marks, or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever a grading system is followed; AND nine years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 10 and above with experience in educational administration, OR comparable experience in a research establishment or other institutions of higher education, OR five years of administrative experience as an Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post. Essential: a Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science, or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55 per cent of marks or an equivalent grade on a point scale; a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerisation of the library; and the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC, the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC such as SLET or SET, or hold a Ph.D. degree awarded in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations of 2009 or 2016 and their amendments. A candidate registered for the Ph.D. before 11 July 2009 is governed by the ordinances, bye-laws or regulations of the institution that awarded the degree and is exempt from the NET/SLET/SET requirement, subject to five conditions the notice lists: the Ph.D. was awarded in the regular mode; the thesis was evaluated by at least two external examiners; an open Ph.D. viva voce was conducted; the candidate has published two research papers from the Ph.D. work, at least one of them in a refereed journal; and the candidate has presented at least two papers based on that work at conferences or seminars sponsored, funded or supported by the UGC, the ICSSR, the CSIR or a similar agency. The notice adds that the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the university concerned must certify that these conditions are met, and that NET/SLET/SET is not required for Master's programmes for which it is not conducted. Candidates who had already applied for this post against the earlier Advertisement No. BBAU/NT/01/2025 dated 14 November 2025 need not apply again. SYSTEM ANALYST (Pay Level 10, 01-UR, age limit 40 years). Essential: a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent from a recognised university; a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English; and knowledge of computer applications. COMMON TO ALL FOUR POSTS. Eligibility in every respect is determined on the last date for submission of the online application form, 19 October 2026 (clause VI.2). Only the matriculation or SSC certificate, or the pass certificate issued by the concerned educational board, is accepted as proof of date of birth; no other document is accepted (clause VI.3). It is the candidate's own responsibility to assess his or her eligibility against the prescribed qualifications and experience (clause VI.4). A candidate belonging to a reserved category must enclose self-attested copies of the caste certificate, and for PwBD candidates the medical certificate determining the degree of disability, from the competent authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India, failing which the application is rejected (clause 20(b)). Suppression of factual information, fake documents, false or misleading information and canvassing in any form lead to disqualification, and an appointment already made is liable to be terminated (clauses VI.5 and 12). WHO MAY NOT APPLY (clause 22): a person convicted by any court of law or against whom criminal proceedings are pending; a person of unsound mind or questionable conduct, or one not medically fit to perform the duties; a person who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a living spouse, unless the competent authority exempts the person because the marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to both parties and there are other grounds for doing so; a person who is not a citizen of India; and any other category disqualified for appointment by the Government of India or the UGC from time to time. A candidate already in service must submit a vigilance clearance certificate from the employer, stating that no disciplinary or criminal proceedings are pending or contemplated, sent directly by the parent department or handed over in a sealed cover at the written test, skill test or interview, or along with the application (clause 23). AFTER SELECTION. Appointment is provisional until verification of character and antecedents (clause 10). A medical fitness certificate is required before joining — from a Government or Government/CGHS-empanelled hospital, countersigned by the civil surgeon or the hospital's Medical Superintendent or Director, for a Group B or C post, and from a Medical Board at such a hospital for a Group A post (clause 13). The person appointed is governed by the Act, Statutes, Ordinances and Rules of the university and by the CCS (Conduct) Rules 1964 and the CCS (CCA) Rules 1965 (clause 11), and is covered by the GPF-cum-Pension Scheme or the New Pension Scheme of the Government of India as extended by the UGC (clause 16). Clause 24 states that employees appointed are liable to serve anywhere in India within the jurisdiction of the university. THE UNIVERSITY'S OWN RESERVATIONS ON THIS ADVERTISEMENT (clause VI.1): it reserves the right to fill or not to fill any post for any reason, to draw a reserve panel against possible future vacancies, and to withdraw this advertisement partly or wholly at any time without assigning a reason. In case of any dispute the territorial jurisdiction is the High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench (clause 25).

Pay Scale

The advertisement states the pay as a level in the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix, post by post, and prints no rupee figure: Level 12 for Coordinator Grade-I, Academic Level 10 for Assistant Librarian, Level 10 for System Analyst and Level 4 for Library Assistant. Selected candidates are covered by the GPF-cum-Pension Scheme or the New Pension Scheme of the Government of India, as extended by the UGC.

Selection Process

  1. Screening first. A duly constituted Screening Committee screens the applications and shortlists candidates against the eligibility criteria prescribed in the advertisement and the recruitment rules. The ratio of vacant posts to candidates called for interview is at most 1:15, and to stay inside that ratio the committee may fix higher criteria at its own discretion to bring the number down (clause 6(a)).
  2. Written and skill tests are held for all Group 'B' and Group 'C' non-teaching posts, which the advertisement defines as levels 1 to 7 of the pay matrix, under direct recruitment (clause 7). Of the four posts advertised here, only the Library Assistant post is inside that band — it is on Level 4; Coordinator Grade-I is on Level 12, Assistant Librarian on Academic Level 10 and System Analyst on Level 10.
  3. What a written test may cover: reasoning ability, simple arithmetic, general knowledge, domain knowledge of the establishment, accounts, examinations, language proficiency in English and Hindi, noting and drafting, and skill tests or any other type of test depending on the job requirement — the notice names technical and laboratory services, engineering, information and communication technology and library services as examples (clause 7).
  4. The two-stage pattern the university may use: Paper I, a qualifying objective-type test of 100 marks, and Paper II, a descriptive-type test of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying mark in Paper I is 40 per cent, and the descriptive answer scripts are evaluated only for candidates who reach it. Candidates who secure 50 per cent in Paper II are called for the skill test or interview wherever applicable (clause 7).
  5. Where a skill test applies it carries 50 marks and the minimum qualifying mark is 25. The merit list is drawn on the performance in Paper II, the descriptive test, alone, subject to qualifying the skill test wherever applicable (clause 7).
  6. The university may instead hold a single written test, the descriptive one, together with a skill test wherever applicable, depending on the number of candidates and the job requirement (clause 7).
  7. Interview marks, wherever an interview applies, are 20 per cent of the total marks and are added to the marks scored in Paper II, or in the single written test, for the merit list (clause 8).
  8. If three eligible applicants per post are not available at the written test, skill test or interview stage, the post is re-advertised at least twice, after which the university decides what to do about the selection. This condition is not insisted on for a selection on deputation without absorption. Where a common written test is held, all eligible candidates may be called for it notwithstanding the maximum ratio, and the successful ones are then called for interview in order of merit, subject to the same 1:15 ratio (clause 6(b) and 6(c)).
  9. The Screening Committee may recommend a candidate for a post conditionally; the conditions must be complied with before the written test, skill test or interview, and until then the candidature remains provisional (clause 6(d)).
  10. Candidates must bring all original certificates of age, qualification and experience to the written test or interview. A candidate who fails to produce the originals for verification against the certified photocopies may not be allowed to appear, and the candidature may be treated as cancelled without further communication (clause 18). Documents remain subject to verification by the competent authority at any time, even after joining (clause 9).
  11. No examination date is announced in this advertisement. The list of shortlisted candidates, and the date, time and venue of the written test, skill test or interview, are published on the university website www.bbau.ac.in only, and the admit card or notice for the test or interview is sent to shortlisted candidates on their registered email id only (clause V(e)).

How to Apply

  1. Apply online only. The advertisement says the online application form is available on the university website www.bbau.ac.in; the university's non-teaching careers page gives the form's address as https://bbaunt.samarth.edu.in. The window runs from 10 September 2026 to 19 October 2026, and the form closes at 23:59:59 hrs on the last date, with the fee due by the same moment.
  2. Everything is done online. The advertisement asks for no printed copy of the application and gives no address to send one to — every supporting document is uploaded through the form itself after self-attestation, so prepare a PDF of each required document before you start filling it (clause V(b)).
  3. Read the General Instructions and the Essential Information section before you begin filling the form, and visit www.bbau.ac.in periodically for further information about the recruitment process (clause V(c)).
  4. Upload the self-attested caste certificate for every reserved-category claim, and for a PwBD claim the medical certificate determining the degree of disability, in the format prescribed by the Government of India and issued by the competent authority. The advertisement says an application without them is rejected (clause 20(b)).
  5. If you are already working in a Central University, a State University, a deemed university, a government department, a public sector undertaking or an autonomous body, apply through proper channel and upload the scanned copy of the endorsement along with the other documents. An advance copy may be sent directly if necessary. A candidate called for the written test, skill test or interview must submit the original endorsement there, failing which the benefits admissible to an in-service candidate are not given (clause V(d)). A serving candidate must also arrange the vigilance clearance certificate described in clause 23.
  6. If you had already applied for the post of Assistant Librarian against the earlier Advertisement No. BBAU/NT/01/2025 dated 14.11.2025, you need not apply again. You may update that earlier application form if you need to, without paying any application fee again.
  7. Give a working email address and keep checking it. The advertisement says the admit card or the notice for the written test, skill test or interview goes to the registered email id ONLY, and that the shortlist and every other detail of the process are published on www.bbau.ac.in only (clause V(e)).
  8. Keep watching www.bbau.ac.in for any corrigendum, change or update to this recruitment (clause V(e)). There was no corrigendum to this advertisement on the university's non-teaching careers page when this page was written.
  9. An incomplete application, an application without the applicable fee, and an application received after the last date are all summarily rejected (clause 27). Interim and anonymous enquiries or complaints are not entertained (clause 28).
  10. For any query about this recruitment the advertisement gives one address only — [email protected] (clause 29).
