The ₹100 is paid online only, through the CRPF recruitment website, by the closing date of 11 November 2026; the advertisement says an application with the fee paid any other way is rejected outright. The fee is neither refunded nor adjusted against any other recruitment under any circumstances.
Age Limit
| Minimum Age | 18 Years |
| Maximum Age | 23 Years |
| Age as on | 01 Aug 2026 |
Age is 18 to 23 years as on 1 August 2026. The eligibility table (para 4) puts that as born not earlier than 2 August 2003 and not later than 1 August 2008. Para 5 of the same advertisement prints a different window — 2 January 2003 to 1 January 2008 — with the same 1 August cut-off; the two do not agree, so watch rect.crpf.gov.in for a corrigendum. On top of the 23-year limit, the advertisement gives meritorious sportspersons these upper-age relaxations: Unreserved 5 years; OBC (non-creamy layer) 8 years; SC and ST 10 years; Ex-Servicemen 8 years (UR), 11 years (OBC) or 13 years (SC/ST), counted after deducting the military service rendered from your actual age. Departmental candidates with three years' continuous service get up to 5 years, plus 5 more for SC/ST or 3 more for OBC (NCL). Your SC, ST, OBC or EWS status is judged on the closing date, 11 November 2026, and an OBC candidate must not be in the creamy layer on that date. A relaxation claimed without the certificate in the advertisement's format is not entertained — the application is then treated as Unreserved.

Eligibility
| Head Constable (GD) | 10+2 or equivalent from a board or university recognised by the Central or a State Government (or the equivalent Army qualification for ex-Army personnel), and one of these sports records — represented India in a recognised international competition with the Sports Department's clearance; represented a State or UT in the National Games or a national championship of a recognised federation and won a medal or a top-three position; came first or second in an individual event at the Inter-University tournaments (in a team event, the team must have reached the final); or won gold or silver at a junior national championship of a recognised federation. |
| Constable (GD) | Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent, and one of these — represented a State in a senior or junior national championship of a recognised federation; represented State Schools in the national school games of the School Games Federation of India and won a medal or a top-three place; represented a State or UT at the Khelo India University, Youth or Winter Games and won a medal or a top-three place; or represented your university in the Inter-University tournaments. |
Only achievements between 30 September 2024 and 30 September 2026 count. You must hold every educational and sports certificate by 11 November 2026 — candidates awaiting a result are not eligible. Certificates from boards other than a Central or State Board need the Government notification declaring their equivalence. The posts are open to Indian citizens, men and women; persons with disabilities are not eligible. The 521 posts are spread over 22 disciplines: Aquatics 60, Archery 3, Athletics 101, Badminton 5, Basketball 16, Body Building 11, Boxing 20, Football 22, Gymnastics 12, Handball 12, Hockey 15, Judo 16, Kabaddi 27, Karate 17, Shooting 53, Taekwondo 14, Volleyball 20, Water Sports 20, Weightlifting 19, Wushu 20, Wrestling 26 and Yoga 12. The event-wise split is in the advertisement's para 2(a).
Pay Scale
Head Constable (GD): Pay Level 4, Rs. 25,500 – 81,100. Constable (GD): Pay Level 3, Rs. 21,700 – 69,100. Both posts also carry Dearness Allowance, HRA and the other allowances admissible in CRPF, and the New Defined Contributory Pension Scheme applies.
Selection Process
- Your online application is scrutinised first. Admit cards are issued online only — never by post — and only to candidates whose applications are in order and who meet every eligibility condition, so keep checking the CRPF website.
- Identity check and documentation: your identity is verified with Aadhaar-based biometrics at every stage. You then produce the originals of your educational, sports, domicile and caste certificates, your Class 10 certificate for date of birth, OBC/SC/ST/EWS certificates in the advertisement's formats, a No Objection Certificate from your employer if you are in government service, the height-and-chest relaxation certificate if you claim one, and four passport photographs. Missing originals end your candidature at this stage.
- Physical Standard Test: height 170 cm for men and 157 cm for women; men's chest 80 cm unexpanded with at least 5 cm expansion. Lower standards apply to Scheduled Tribes, to candidates from the North-Eastern States, the Gorkha Territorial Administration, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, and to Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras and Marathas — the advertisement lists the figures. An appeal against a PST result is allowed on the same day only.
- Sports Trial Test in your own discipline, conducted by a Board of Officers. Fail it and you are out; pass it and it carries no marks. You may be dope-tested on the day, the trial is video-recorded, and no appeal for a re-trial is entertained.
- Merit list: marks are given for your single best medal, position or level of participation between 30 September 2024 and 30 September 2026, from the advertisement's table — for example, 100 for an Olympic gold, 30 for an individual gold at the National Games or Senior Nationals, and 20 for an individual gold at a junior national, inter-university, school national or Khelo India event. Ties go to the better national-level record, then the older candidate, then alphabetical order of name in English.
- Detailed Medical Examination for those selected in merit order, against the CAPF medical guidelines — including distance vision of 6/6 and 6/9 without glasses, no colour blindness, no knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins or squint, and tattoos only within the permitted content, place and size. A candidate declared unfit may ask for a Review Medical Examination by giving written consent within 24 hours.
- No travelling allowance, lodging or boarding is paid; come prepared to stay at least a week at the recruitment venue at your own cost. On selection you sign a bond of ₹1,00,000 to serve the Force for at least three years, your sports performance is watched for two years — your services can be terminated if your standard falls — and a sportsperson whose performance drops can be sent to a general-duty battalion.
How to Apply
- Applications are accepted online only, on the CRPF recruitment website rect.crpf.gov.in, from 9:00 am on 12 October 2026 to 11:59 pm on 11 November 2026. An application sent any other way is rejected summarily.
- Before you apply, create your profile on rect.crpf.gov.in and upload the certificate for your highest medal, position or level of participation in your discipline. An application without it is rejected at scrutiny.
- Fill in the form with your name, date of birth, father's name and mother's name exactly as in your Class 10 certificate, the post and the sports discipline you are applying for, your Aadhaar number, and an e-mail address and mobile number that stay active — CRPF writes to candidates only by e-mail and SMS.
- Upload your photograph, signature and thumb impression, your Class 10 and 10+2 certificates, your caste certificate if you claim a category, and your sports merit certificate. A blurred photograph or signature gets the application rejected.
- Male candidates of the UR, OBC and EWS categories pay the ₹100 fee online on the same website. Women, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates pay nothing.
- If you are in government or semi-government service, apply through your employer with a No Objection Certificate in the advertisement's format (the NOC annexure); an application without it is not accepted.
- Apply for one post only, and submit only one application — if more than one is found, all of them are rejected. Particulars cannot be changed after submission except in the correction window, from 12 to 14 November 2026.
